I report and anchor with determination, providing fair and accurate coverage on what affects my listening area. Whether it is crime, local politics or business, I am on the scene with the information listeners need. I currently work in west Georgia with Gradick Communications. In addition to serving as a local reporter and afternoon anchor for our local news station, WLBB, I host a morning show that highlights local issues.
I also make an effort to engage my listening audience across mulitple platforms. Since joining Gradick Communications, I have added podcasting formats from our most popular programming. I also produce video elements posted to social media that add context to stories that may not work in a strictly audio medium. I aim to be a “Media Swiss Army Knife.”
As a journalist, I find that it is important for me to be an involved member of the community that I cover. I have become a member of the Carroll County Community Theater, Carroll County Writer’s Guild and work with Feeding Families, a non-profit dedicated to feeding local elementary students and their families on weekends.
I was not always a reporter. After I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in finance, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry primarily as a sales rep. Two years in, I decided to change careers and chose to pursue my interests in media. This has been one of the best decisions of my life.
In my free time I enjoy boxing, baking and designing cakes, performing stand-up comedy and reading every book that I can get my paws on.
